Assessment 1-1 Readiness for the Leadership Role
There
were 25 questions that had to be graded on a scale from 1 (strongly
disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). The scored ranged from 25 to 125. From
those 25 questions, I scored a 90 which indicates that I have a high
readiness for the leadership role.
Reflection:
I
was surprised by my score because I sometimes avoid being the leader
with my lack of confidence. I thought that my score would be lower than
80. I have had leadership roles at home and also in school. I was
always put in charge of the group by my friends’ parents. So I guess my
score is accurate since I've been put in the leadership positions
before.
Assessment 2-1 Self Confidence
There
were 15 questions that had to be graded on a scale from 1 (strongly
disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). The scored ranged from 15 to 75. From
those 15 questions, I scored a 44 which indicates that I have a moderate
or average self confidence.
Reflection:
I
was surprised by my score because I know I lack lots of self
confidence. I know that I whatever works needs to be done that I will
follow through. I am not the type to really believe in myself.
Assessment 2-2 Behavior and attitudes of a trustworthy leader
There
were 20 statements and we had to answer them by stating if it fitted us
or if it didn't. There is not specific scoring key for this assessment.
However the more answer you had that say fits me can help you determine
how trustworthy you are.
Reflection:
I
tend to think that I am a trustworthy person, especially because lots
of friends like to share their problems with me. I believe it is one of
the most important traits a leader should have. Most of the statements
fitted me, so it gives me confidence that I have that quality about me.
Assessment 2-3 My tendencies toward being a proactive personality
There
were 22 questions that had to be graded on a scale from 1 (strongly
disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). The scored ranged from 25 to 125. From
those 25 questions, I scored a 83 which indicates that I have average
tendencies toward being more proactive.
Reflection:
I don't know what to think of my score. I believe that I have tendencies of being proactive, but maybe I do not explore enough.
Assessment 3-1 Checklist of behaviors and attitudes reflecting Charisma
There
were 15 statements that you had to check if they applied to you or not. After reading all the statements, I had 11 statements that applied to
me. If 12 out of the 15 statements applied to you, it means that you
have above average charismatic tendencies.
Reflection
I am not surprised by my score at all. I tend to stay in my corner in meetings, so letting people know about my accomplishment or people listening to me is not something that happens often.
Assessment 3-2 The dual-level transformational leadership
This
self-assessment is composed of 2 sections. The first section has 18
statements and is individual focused. The other has 14 statements and is
more group focused. For each of these statements you have to check the
ones that are true or at least relatively true. Most of them were
relatively true to my scenario.
Reflection:
I don’t really have an opinion on this assessment, but it points out good qualities a manager should have in his work place.
There were 15 questions that had to be responded with the following scale: strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, and strongly agree. The score ranged from 15 to 75. From those 15 questions, I scored a 59 which indicates that I have a strong situational perspective as a leader and manager.
Assessment 4-1
Task oriented Attitudes and behavior
There were 10
statements that we have to answer with mostly agree and mostly disagree. If you
responded "mostly agree" to 8 to 10 of these statements, you have you
have a strong task orientation. I had 8 "mostly agree".
Reflection:
I was not
surprised by my score because I am task oriented. I like to do this right and
make sure that everything that needs to be done is taken care of.
Assessment 4-2 What
style of leader are you or would you be?
There were 20
statements to which you had to answer with mostly true or mostly false. In
order to determine your score, you have to see if your answer match the answer
key. If you score 15 or higher, you are mostly likely to be a participative
leader. I scored a 20, which means I am mostly likely to be a participative
leader.
Reflection:
I did not think
that I would score a 20, but at least a 15. This is a good thing since hotel
manager’s practice this leadership style and I plan on becoming a general
manager.
Assessment 4-3 Entrepreneurial thinking
and behavior
There were 20
questions that had to be graded on a scale from 1 to 5. The score ranges from

average tendencies toward being an entrepreneurial personality.
Reflection:
I thought I would
have a lower score to my actually score.
Assessment 5-1 measuring
your situational perspective
There were 15 questions that had to be responded with the following scale: strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, and strongly agree. The score ranged from 15 to 75. From those 15 questions, I scored a 59 which indicates that I have a strong situational perspective as a leader and manager.
Reflection:
I am not surprised
by my score. I believe that motivating your team is always the best way to
deliver exceptional work.
Assessment 5-2
Quality of leader-member relations
There were 12
statements to which the possible answer is agree or disagree. Regarding
scoring, the more statements you answered with agree the higher your quality of
leader-member exchange. I answered all 12 statements with agree.
Reflection:
For any company or
business to work, it is important to have a very good quality of leader-member
relation. In class for example, when there is a good relation between professor and
student, the likelihood of the student succeeding is very much increased.
Assessment 9-1
Team player attitudes
There were 12
statements where the response can be strongly disagree, disagree, neutral,
agree, and strongly agree. The scored ranged from 15 to 60. From those 12
questions, I scored a 45 which indicates that I have a moderately favorable
attitude toward being a team member and working cooperatively with other
members.
Reflection:
I would say that
my score sort of reflects how I work in teams.
Assessment 9-2
Assessment 10-1
There were 15
statements with a grading scale of mostly agree and mostly disagree. The
scored ranged from 1 to 15. From those 15 questions, I answered 11 of them with

your work and job.

When it comes to
what I like I put a lot of effort and dedication to my work.
